Description
This is a reproduction David Thompson’s third manuscript map of north western North America. Like the first two versions of the same map, it is a Mercator projection and in reality measures approximately 3.2 x 1.8 metres or 126 x 74 inches. The creation of this map was likely born out of Thompson’s desire to create a commercial product. Begun in 1816, it was likely completed in 1826 between his duties with the International Boundary Commission. This image is 41 x 69 inches at 300dpi and is suitable for printing or study.
